Welcome To Animal Eye Clinic
Veterinary Eye Clinic in Tulsa and Oklahoma City, OK
Animal Eye Clinic is a veterinary ophthalmology practice with offices in Tulsa and Oklahoma City. Dr. Robert Gwin is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of animal eye diseases, and he uses specialized ophthalmic equipment, testing procedures and surgical techniques to do it.
An eye is small, and the difference between an irritation that clears up and a problem that costs vision is often invisible without magnification and pressure readings. That is what the exam here is built around. Anything found outside the eye goes back to your own veterinarian for treatment, so both practices are working the same case from different ends.
Your pet’s health is our utmost concern. We work together with you and your veterinarian to keep your pet happy and healthy.

Our Services
Cataract Evaluation and Surgery
A cataract is the lens itself going opaque, so light stops reaching the retina. Before surgery is on the table, the retina behind that lens has to be tested, because an eye whose retina has already failed will not see again even with a clear lens. Evaluation, testing and surgery all happen in one practice.

Glaucoma Diagnosis and Management
Glaucoma is fluid building inside the eye faster than it drains, and it hurts long before an owner notices anything has changed. Pressure gets measured in both eyes, since the second eye often follows the first. Treatment aims at holding pressure down and keeping the eye comfortable.

Corneal and Retinal Disease
The cornea is the clear front surface, and an ulcer there needs staining, measuring and rechecking rather than one round of drops. Retinal disease sits at the back of the eye and usually shows up as a pet that misjudges steps or stops finding toys in low light. Both need ophthalmic equipment to see properly.
